When the weather outside is frightful ..... I'm happy to stay in and work away on my various projects. I have some wonderful old wool blankets that I've collected recently - most of them very well worn and no longer suitable for use, other than to upcycle them into something new and useful. These hot pads and mug rugs were made from the last viable portions of a great old charcoal/blue striped blanket.
Each piece is double layered, machine stitched, and finished with a blanket stitch.
