Hooked Chair Pads

I'm still digging into that treasure trove of beautiful handspun wool yarns that my neighbor gave me!  And because of this beautiful September weather, I'm still  able to hook outside on the deck.   I guess these   sweet little floral chair pads (lovely for a pretty bedroom or guest room) are my last nod to summer as I'm watching the trees gradually change colour!

Needle Felted Wall Hanging

Many, many years ago, I loved to paint with watercolours.  It's not an art I pursued, but this form of needle felting definitely brings out the "watercolour painter" in me.   This little floral design was done on a wool backing that I spot-dyed in shades of greens/blues and yellows.

Felted Wool Sweater Coasters

When my friend Joan realized she wasn't going to get around to crafting with her collection of felted wool sweaters, she generously passed the treasures on to me!  I particularly love the cheerful colours and pattern in this particular wool, which would look great in almost any setting - and its thickness makes it perfect for coasters!
